Linea recently celebrated the groundbreaking of the Pineview Solar project in Wilcox County, Georgia. The project, a 80 MW utility-scale solar energy facility, is a collaboration with MEAG Power, which will purchase the energy generated. Construction is being managed by Discovery Industries.
Pineview will contribute approximately $3 million in local property tax revenue over 20 years. It is also the first solar energy facility in MEAG Power's portfolio and is expected to power about 13,000 homes across Georgia.
Pineview Solar will have a significant economic impact on the local community, with approximately $3 million in local property tax revenues over the next two decades. The project will also contribute to Georgia's clean energy goals and reduce the environmental impact of the state's energy supply.
Linea Energy launched a scholarship to invest in the education of local high school students, aiming to develop future leaders and encourage participation in Georgia's energy future. Additionally, Pineview is estimated to reduce carbon emissions by approximately 23,700,000 lbs per year, contributing to a cleaner, more sustainable environment based on the carbon intensity of Georgia's energy grid.
