The world needs to accelerate decarbonization, but clean energy development is complicated.

Interconnection queues, offtake, and project financing make the development cycle long. Our key mission is to deploy renewables faster by removing bottlenecks and rethinking outdated approaches.

The Power of Acceleration

We are rethinking the development process to build wind, solar and storage, faster.

Decarbonizing the grid will require deploying renewable generation and storage at levels and at a pace never seen before. Research suggests that annual solar build-out in the US alone needs to increase by over 15x to achieve a 60% share of renewable penetration. We have identified key bottlenecks and are working to solve them.

Interconnection

Our interconnection-first approach to development means we are calculated where we enter queues to ensure our projects get built.

Selling our energy to the grid

To accelerate the time to bring projects on-line, we are willing to build projects without PPAs and contract them later or not at all.

Access to Project Financing

Financing projects one at a time, delays them for a year or more. We can build projects and finance them later in more efficient and risk tolerant portfolio financings.

Sustainable Procurement

As components related to renewable energy are often manufactured outside the United States, sustainable procurement is a key focus area for the sector. There entire certain environmental and social issues inherent to the sourcing of required production materials. These include legal compliance, anti-corruption measures, human rights protections, fair labor practices, and the mitigation of adverse environmental impacts related to mining, processing, manufacturing, and transportation. Before our Energy Transition companies begin purchasing equipment, such as batteries or solar modules, we expect formal supply chain policies and procedures to be put in place in order to uphold sustainable sourcing standards. Successful implementation involves considering the origin country of products, engaging with counterparties, conducting audits to verify compliance, and ensuring traceability of materials.

Comprehensive Monitoring

Linea Energy conducts rigorous due diligence on its suppliers, leveraging its internal teams and occasionally third-party experts to assess risks. Initial screening includes an evaluation of compliance history and any human rights violations. Once a vendor is approved, robust procurement contracts are signed to ensure auditing rights.

As part the company's ongoing monitoring efforts, suppliers are required to develop supply chain maps for products to be delivered. These maps illustrate traceability for all steps of component production, from raw material sourcing to final assembly. Linea also engages independent auditors to perform in-person factory visits and audits to determine adherence to the company's procurement standards.
